From the Optimist World and European championships to twice being the national Optimist champion.

Francisca is a native of the Atlantic Ocean city of Porto where grew on the water. A natural-born competitor, she has been participating in competitive sailing since very young. From the Optimist World and European championships to twice being the national Optimist champion.

Since graduating to the older classes, she has competed in the World and European 420 class championships.

She currently works as a sailing coach and sees the opportunity to sail with the Mirpuri Foundation racing Team to enter into a whole new class of sailing.

I use my bike instead of car every time I have a chance. I use it pretty much every day.

What advice would you give to young sailors to protect the planet?

If you love to be in the water not protecting the planet is not an option! Start by taking action in your daily routines, consume less, educate yourself and help others around you to join us!
