The Spanish sailor Carlos Hernández has competed in some of the biggest international sailing events including the 2014-15 Volvo Ocean Race where he joined the Mapfre team and finished in 4th place.

Carlos Hernández started sailing at the age of 13 in a local classic Latin boat. Soon after, he jumped into 420 class and his sailing career never stopped.

From an early age, the athlete wanted to take part in the Volvo Ocean Race, a dream he fulfilled in 2014, joining team Mapfre for the 2014-15 edition of the race.

The Spanish sailor has competed in some of the biggest international sailing events and, very recently, in 2021, he took monohull line honors in the Rolex Fastnet Race onboard Skorpios.
