THE MIRPURI FOUNDATION RACING TEAM HAS ANNOUNCED THE OFFICIAL ENTRY OF ITS VO65 ‘RACING FOR THE PLANET’ BOAT IN THIS WEEKEND’S CASCAIS VELA, ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT REGATTAS IN PORTUGAL.

The Mirpuri Foundation Racing Team, which recently won The Ocean Race Europe trophy, has just announced the official entry of its VO65 boat ‘Racing for the Planet’ in one of the biggest and most prestigious regattas in Portugal, Cascais Vela, organized by the Clube Naval de Cascais. The traditional regatta returns in its twenty-first edition with the best national and international sailors returning to Cascais for the closing of the summer season, between the 27th and 29th of August.

This is the Mirpuri Foundation Racing Team first race after winning last June the famous The Ocean Race Europe. The VO65 named “Racing for the Planet” will now compete in Portuguese waters, continuing to raise important awareness to the Mirpuri Foundation campaign “Racing for the Planet – #StopClimateChange”, which aims to raise awareness of the serious problems affecting our oceans and global warming.
